Kayakers paddling on a foggy day on the Bay of Fundy between rocks on the shoreline.

Sea Kayaking Adventures for over 45 years on the Bay of Fundy

In 1979, we embarked on our journey, initially specializing in the sales of canoes and sailboats. However, as the tides of change swept in, we recognized the rising popularity of sea kayaking as the "wave of the future". As the allure of sea kayaking continued to grow, the advent of rotomolded kayaks and composite kayaks in Canada opened new horizons for us, helping us morph into a hub for water enthusiasts seeking quality and adventure.

Our Vision

Founded by the late Bob Vlug and his daughter, Sara; Eastern Outdoors Inc. is a legacy rooted in our passion for the great outdoors. We fell head over heels for sea kayaking when Deanna Vlug, Bob's wife, first glimpsed the sleek vessels during a trip to Nova Scotia. Recognizing the untapped potential of sea kayaking, we envisioned a future where composite kayaks and roto molded kayaks would become the heartbeat of water sports. Today, Eastern Outdoors Inc. stands as a concrete testament to our vision.

We invite you to join us on a sea kayaking journey that transcends the ordinary.
